Strengthening Kids and Community
Strong schools play a vital role in making our kids and community strong. As a mom of a VUSD student and a volunteer with Ventura Education Partnership I have had the great pleasure of working with many of our schools and seeing first hand the amazing, forward thinking work happening daily.
We have a huge and exciting responsibility to make sure our kids are prepared for their future. I will work hard on behalf of all kids and see these areas of opportunity to further strengthen our schools.

Community Engagement
Schools are continually doing more with less and educating all students requires community support. We are fortunate to have many wonderful partnerships. I want to continue to nurture these relationships and build new ones. Additionally, keeping the public informed about opportunities for collaboration, challenges and our successes is important. Working together we can all advance our common goals with greater impact. |
Innovative, Hands on Learning
In today's fast-paced world where everything is on demand, teachers must continually innovate to keep school relevant and students engaged. When students are engaged they find their greatest success and challenge themselves even more. All children deserve access to quality, hands on learning that helps them find their talents and future directions. We must provide the necessary training, resources, supplies to support innovation in the classroom. |
Enhanced Communication
Communication in today's world is challenging. There are so many ways to reach people and all of us are on overload. Parents need more effective and timely communications that are easy to understand. I want to connect with parents and understand their family's needs so I can advocate for them and involve them. When parents share in their child's education it improves communication and student achievement. |
